Image Inpainting
Image inpainting is the process of filling in some part of an image that is missing or has been removed. Since we are painting into an image, we say that we are inpainting.
As we will see, we can still paint into an image arbitrarily using masks. We assume that the masked part has been removed, and we paint into the image at that location. For this reason, we can just think of inpainting as painting something new into an image. We do this using masks.
