Multilayer Perceptrons (MLPs) & Fully Connected Networks - Deep Learning Dictionary
A multilayer perceptron (MLP) is an artificial neural network that contains an input layer, and output layer, and any number of hidden layers in between. The hidden layers are followed by non-linear activations.
When the output layer is followed by the softmax activation function, an MLP is used as a classifier to classify input among some predefined number of outputs.
